Pamela Carman

A former teacher, Pamela now considers herself to be retired, but quips, "I worked less when I worked." Besides serving on the board of The Ronald Andrew Holloway Foundation, Pamela serves on the board of The Learning Center, a Murphy, NC charter school, and is secretary/treasurer for Chautauqua-AVE!, a local non-profit organizaiton.

As a Guardian ad Litem for North Carolina's 30th judicial district, Pamela is a court-appointed advocate for children who have entered the judicial system due to abuse or neglect. She investigates cases and is the voice of the child when the cases come to court. In 1996, she founded Project Linus of Western North Carolina and was the chapter coordinator for ten years.

The mission of The Ronald Andrew Holloway Foundation is especially important to Pamela. Hansi Holloway is Pamela's daughter. Andrew Holloway was her grandson.
